Traditional Tin Toys were popular in the 1920s to 1960s before plastic toys and video games. Tin Toys were originally made in America and Germany, but production moved to Japan after World War II.
Because Tin Toy manufacturing is such a labor intensive process, it is easy to see why production was quickly abandoned when plastic molding was developed. Now, these Tin Toys are valued by collectors as historical toys and art.
Tin Toys are still being manufactured in Japan, Korea, Germany, Czech Republic, USA, India, and China. Most of these tin toys are in limited production.
Old fashioned Tin Toys are for adult collectors only to relive their childhoods ;-)
Children can also supervise their parents playing with these wind-up toys.
